In the Midst of Book II- Blood Kiss (Working Title)

Christian has come to quite the realization about his true parentage. Not to give too much away, but the person whose genes he carries is not the man who raised him after his mother died of small pox in 1745. It is only now, in the twenty-first century that he discovers who his real father is and how their destiny's have been intertwined since he was a child in Meudon, France.

He also learns something startling about the love of his life, Josette Delacore, a mortal whom he left behind and who died by the guillotine in 1790. Sometimes the past refuses to remain as such and when confronted with it centuries later, it may make you feel blessed, or perhaps you feel as though you have gone mad.

Either way, there's no turning back from the pain and the people you left there.

Hey Denise,

I love the twist regarding Christian's parentage. A twisty-turny plot is always what I look for in a book and yours seems to have many!

Thank you Rita, and yes, mine do. I am always fascinated by that which is never as it seems. I have always felt that Christian was so much more than a young man who followed his best friend Michel, into the warring world of vampires. Though he has always ignored his own "gifts" he will finally begin to understand just what he is truly made of.
